Using the website: goodbrief.io, I was able to find an AI generated logo prompt. The prompt I got was a company named, Chorus, which specializes in distributing and funding radio shows. The goal was to make a logo with their main color, green, as well as packaging that's vintage but also appeals to minnieals. The goodbrief.io prompt goes into more detail and reads:
Company Name:
Chorus
Company Description:
We are a company that makes and distributes radio shows. They stand out because they are produced by big names in the industry and available in stores worldwide. Our target audience is millennials. We want to convey a sense of delight, while at the same time being old-fashioned.
Job Description:
You must create packaging for the company's main product. They want you to match the look of their competitors, and make sure you include a description of the product. They would prefer a vintage-style design, and would like you to use the brand color, which is green. Take into account the client's preferences and values.
I decided to go back and look at old logos that use a display type with a small description of what they do around the logotype in the center. The more modern elements of the logo design are the “O” in “Chorus” being replaced with a disc shape along with that, there's a diagonal crisscross pattern to give the perception of a microphone. As for colors, the brief asked for green, so I went for an emerald green and olive green. For secondary/ background colors, I went for two darker greens in order to help the logo stand out but also help the packaging with its details.
The last part of this project that I decided to do was an advertisement video. This was the first time I used the 3D camera tracker to make text stick to the background and foreground environment as well as make it follow with the camera. It was pretty frustrating to use at first because there were a variety of glitches, such as the font strokes being too big for one letter and a font size being too small for another, as well as another glitch removing the target point. Despite the rough start, I felt that I got used to it very quickly and I got this video done much sooner than I thought I would have.
