GOGO

Gogo is a company that specializes in distributing romantic films for married couples. The idea for this project came from goodbrief.io where an ai generates a design brief and I eventually decided to use this one for practice. The brief says the following:

Company Description: 

We are a company that makes and distributes indie movies. They stand out because they are high-quality and available in your local shops. Our target audience is married couples. We want to convey a sense of innocence, while at the same time being modern. 

Job Description:

You must create a logo using the information given in this brief. They would prefer a mascot logo that uses the color purple. Take into account the company's values and preferences, and make sure it will work for the planned use-cases.

In the design, there are two main shapes, a dove on the left side and a ring on the right side. The dove is often used as a symbol of peace and innocence and its simple design correlates with the brief. The ring on the right side is meant to connect to the dove on the left, which is also supposed to mimic a circle, creating two attached rings. The reason for this is that two rings attached to each other are meant to symbolize marriage; also, the dove and the ring form a “G” and an “O” meant to play off the company’s name, “GOGO”. The main colors are purple, light purple and white in order to give off a unique and eye-catching color combination.

Even though the promo video wasn't required as a part of the criteria, I still decided to make it as an excuse to practice my After Effects skills. Since GOGO is considered an "indie" film company, I decided to use clips from other indie movies in order to represent what the company is trying to sell, romance movies or movies targeting married couples.
